Description Autographed print collage of tinted photographs of the motorboats MISS AMERICA VII, and MISS AMERICA V, along with their driver, Gar Wood. The MISS AMERICA VII is show on the Detroit River with the Whittier in the background. The whites and blues in the boats' wakes and the shirt of Wood are each hand-touched with paint. The image of the MISS AMERICA VII is captioned, "MISS AMERICA VII, World's Record at 92.6 M.P.H." "MISS AMERICA V, Salt Water Record at 80.72 M.P.H." is printed below the image of the MISS AMERICA V. Beneath the portrait of Wood is his autograph, "Yours Truly, Gar Wood." "© J.C. Armstrong / 28" is printed in the lower left corner of the image of the MISS AMERICA VII, and "Photo By: James C. Armstrong, 2726 Allen Road, Miami Beach, FLA." is stamped on the verso of the print. The print is framed behind glass in a wooden frame.
