Description Black and white glossy print of an earlier photograph that shows eight firemen who are seated on or standing beside a horse-drawn steam fire engine. The steam engine has been decorated for President Lincoln's funeral march which was held in Detroit on April 25, 1865. The firemen are part of the Phoenix Steam Fire Engine Company No. 3 and the name, "Phoenix," is visible on several of the firemen's belts. The 2-story brick fire station and several wood-frame houses can be seen in the background.
