A sign on the floor reads "This 1929 Lincoln belonged to All Capone…… it was purchased from the Capone estate in Florida! This body style was known as the 'Dual Cowl'…..and it was the favorite of the gangsters in the 'prohibition era'….!" Attached press release reads: Detroit, Dec. 19 - Al Capone's '29 Dual Cowl Linciln, valued at $50,000, will be one of the featured cars on display at the 1975 Detroit Auto Show, January 11 through the 19th at Cobo Hall. Capone's car, and others once owned or driven by world famous and infamous personalities set the theme for this the 59th Auto Show, which the Detroit Auto Dealers Association, sponsors of the event, is calling "Cars of the Stars."
